CCRD Construction Update – Week of 4/15

Pothole Patching
Hot mix pothole patching is ongoing throughout the county. The focus area for this week is Lee and Clarence Townships.

Albion Township
Road: 30 Mile – H Dr S to Brembo
Current Status: CCRD crews will be replacing culverts.
Temporary closure.

Athens Township
Road: R Dr S – W. County Line to 1½ Mile
Current Status: Hunter-Prell will be replacing culverts throughout the project.
Detour: Closed to through traffic. Detour is V Dr S.
End Date:  End of August

Road: 3½ Mile – M-66 to new pavement
Current Status: Lakeland Asphalt will be placing gravel shoulder this week.
Single lane closure.
End Date:  Beginning of July

Burlington Township
Road: All gravel roads
Current Status: Grading.

Clarendon Township
Road: All gravel roads
Current Status: Grading.

Eckford Township
Road: 23 Mile – D Dr S to E Dr S
Current Status: Lakeland Asphalt will be placing gravel shoulder this week.
Single lane closure.
End Date:  Beginning of July

Road: D Dr S – Homer Rd to 18 Mile
Current Status: CCRD crews will be replacing a culvert.
Temporary closure.

Emmett Charter Township
Road: N. Wattles Rd – Michigan Ave to Verona Rd
Current Status: Lakeland Asphalt will be paving the first lift of HMA this week.
Detour: Closed to through traffic. Detour is 11 Mile Rd.
End Date:  Mid May

Road: S. Wattles Rd – Historic Bridge Park to B Dr N
Current Status: Grand River Construction is continuing to perform preventative maintenance on the bridge over the Kalamazoo River. The expansion joint concrete will continue to cure.
Detour: Closed to all traffic at the Kalamazoo River. Detour is M-311.
End Date:  End of August

Leroy Township
Road: E Dr S – 5 Mile to 6 Mile
Current Status: CCRD crews will be replacing culverts.
Temporary closure.

Newton Township
Road: All Gravel Roads
Current Status: CCRD crews will be deberming gravel roads in Newton Township

County Wide Project
Pothole patching is ongoing throughout the county.

Albion Township
Road: 30 Mile – H Dr S to Brembo
Current Status: CCRD crews will be removing berm this week and durapatching the road.
Temporary closure while deberming.

Athens Township
Road: R Dr S – W. County Line to 1½ Mile
Current Status: Hunter-Prell will be trenching along the side of the road and adding new aggregate base. The road will be pulverized and regraded this week.
Detour: Closed to through traffic. Detour is V Dr S.
End Date: End of August

Road: 3½ Mile – M-66 to new pavement
Current Status: Lakeland Asphalt will be milling butt joints and overlaying the road this week.
Detour: None: Single lane closure.
End Date: Beginning of July

Road: S Dr S – 4½ Mile to 5 Mile
Current Status: CCRD crews will be removing berm this week.
Temporary closure while deberming.
 
Road: T Dr S – W. County Line to 1 Mile
Current Status: CCRD crews will be replacing culverts.
Temporary closure.

Current Status: Grading.

Clarence Township
Road: M Dr N – 26 Mile to Hatch Rd
Current Status: CCRD crews will be replacing culverts.
Temporary closure.

Clarendon Township
Road: All gravel roads
Current Status: Grading.
 
Convis Township
Road: 17 Mile – N Dr N to Turkeyville Rd
Current Status: CCRD crews will be replacing culverts.
Temporary closure.
 
Road: L Dr N – Old-27 to 18 Mile
Current Status: CCRD crews will be replacing culverts.
Temporary closure.

Eckford Township
Road: 23 Mile – D Dr S to E Dr S
Current Status: Lakeland Asphalt will be skip paving this week.
Detour: None: Single lane closure.
End Date:  Beginning of July

Road: D Dr S – Homer Rd to 18 Mile
Current Status: CCRD crews will be replacing culverts.
Temporary closure.
 
Road: F Dr S – 21 Mile to 22 Mile
Current Status: CCRD crews will be replacing culverts.
Detour: None: Temporary closure.
Road: 23 Mile – D Dr S to F Dr S
Current Status: CCRD crews will be durapatching.

Emmett Charter Township
Road: N. Wattles Rd – Michigan Ave to Verona Rd
Current Status: The road has been pulverized and Hoffman Bros. is continuing to grade. Hoffman will continue to maintain the road through grading until paved with asphalt later this month.
Detour: Closed to through traffic. Detour is 11 Mile Rd.
End Date:  Mid May


Road: S. Wattles Rd – Historic Bridge Park to B Dr N
Current Status: Grand River Construction is continuing to perform preventative maintenance on the bridge over the Kalamazoo River. Grand River will be replacing expansion joints in the bridge deck this week. It will take a couple weeks for theconcrete to cure before the bridge can be reopened.

Detour: Closed to all traffic at the Kalamazoo River. Detour is M-311.
End Date:  End of August

Homer Township
Road: All gravel roads
Current Status: Grading.

Marengo Township
Road: L Dr N – 20 Mile to 20½ Mile
Current Status: CCRD crews will be replacing culverts.
Temporary closure.

Marshall & Fredonia Township
Road: 15½ Mile – Tau Dr to B Dr S
Current Status: CCRD crews will be removing berm and durapatching the road this week.
Temporary closure while deberming.

Tekonsha Township
Road: All gravel roads
Current Status: Grading.
